Joaquín Moraga discovered El Pueblo de San José de
Guadalupe in 1777 at the crossway of the current
locations of West Taylor Street and Guadalupe Parkway.
In 1797, the town shifted to Plaza Pueblo and San Jose
emerged around this town. Ralph Vaerst conceived the
term Silicon Valley but it was first used by his friend
Don Hoefler . Located in the midst of the Silicon
Valley, San Jose houses the headquarters of the crème
de la crème of tech companies such as Adobe, Cisco ,
Google, Yahoo, HP to name a few!
